Marcoola

Marcoola. Pristine beaches, the perfect residential location.

Stretching from Caloundra in the south to Noosa in the north, the Sunshine Coast boasts some of the most picturesque coastline and best white sandy beaches in the world. Over 75 kilometres of beaches, in fact. A little over 40 kilometres south of Noosa and located centrally on the Sunshine Coast is the urban seaside village of Marcoola. Located just north of the Maroochy River and encompassing part of the imposing Mount Coolum National Park, Marcoola is part of the broader Maroochy River catchment area and includes the urban developments of Town of Seaside and Mount Coolum Shores.

Marcoola boasts uncrowded beaches well suited for surfers and beach walkers and is a great escape, a place to unwind for a quiet barbecue or picnic on open grassy parkland, with shady trees and a children’s park. For the safety of swimmers and beach-goers, Marcoola is a patrolled beach. For visitors and holiday-makers, Marcoola is also a great place to stay. Apartment-style accommodation such as the iconic Surfair (Ramada), beach-front units, international resorts including Ramada and Mantra and a number of excellent motels offer an excellent choice of accommodation types for every budget.

Welcome to life and the ‘Lifies’.

One thing you notice about the Sunshine Coast is that it is dotted with Surf Life Saving Clubs. Little wonder since the Sunshine Coast is renowned for offering some of the best surfing beach and point breaks in the world. The surf clubs are often the focal point of the local community, offering a relaxed and friendly meeting place for locals and visitors alike with the best uninterrupted beach view on the coast. The Marcoola Life Saving Club, affectionally known as the “Lifies” is no exception. With its free courtesy bus service, the club offers easy and safe access to residents and visitors alike and its Tuesday event Trivia nights are a must-attend event. There is also a vibrant café and food-market scene here.

Imagine living here?

The population of Marcoola is around 3,500 making it an intimate, if not exclusive seaside community comprising established couples and families, empty-nesters and retirees. Over the years, Marcoola has also attracted significant interest from investors looking to purchase seaside property without the higher prices of other coastal areas. The range of properties available reflects the demand from the community. Here you can purchase apartments, townhouses and units along the beachfront offering easy access to the beach, as well as contemporary and traditional beachside homes on generous size allotments providing plenty of room for the growing family. The nearby Pacific Paradise State School caters for Prep to Year 6 and offers excellent sporting activities.

Talk about convenience.

The Sunshine Coast Airport, including the new International Airport is literally right across the road, making it perfect for regular domestic and international travel.
